Island Cove Adventure Race

Island Cove and the Philippines’ leading search enginge Yehey! recently hosted a bloggers activity which promises to be a day of advnture and so much fun.

Aptly called, DETOUR: The Island Cove Adventure Race, this event gathered 30 bloggers to run swim, bike, sing and do a whole lot more.
We were divided into six groups. I was picked to join the yello team.

Extreme heat easily build up which led to my exhaustion. It was no big joke to run around the entire resort facility under the heat ofthe scorching sun. But the fun and camaraderie helped us forget the exhaustion.
We were tyhe leading team at first but immediately settled to sixth place after the other half of the mask that we were supposed to look for could never be found. We were stuck in that pitstop and we were all frustrated. We have already searched every nook and cranny just to look for that missing half of the mask but we all failed. Until the marshalls finally allowed us to proceed to the next stop.

Probably one of hardest tasks for me was the sack race. I was already tired at that time, running hard from the previous task. But the loud cheers of my team mates pushed me to finish the task fast.
Out of the six teams, we finished fourth. Not bad. What is important is that we had so much fun and we all did our very best as a team.
Many thanks to Island Cove and Yehey! for this great event!
