I am scheduled to leave Manila today to witness the grand opening of the annual Panaad sa Negros 2009 in Bacolod City and the Traditional Send off Party of Iloilo City for Tribu Kasag and Dinagyang Festival as they journey to Manila to compete in the annual Aliwan 2009.

Tribu Kasag of Kasadyahan Festival
The Send off Party will be held tomorrow after the 3PM Mass at the San Jose Parish. A streetdance will then follow leading to the Freedom Grandstand where the send off program will be held. Tribu Kasag from the town of Banate is representing the Kasadyahan Festival, while Tribu Paghidaet, for the second time around, is representing the Dinagyang Festival.
Kasadyahan is usually held on a Saturday before the Grand ati-ati contest of the Dinagyang Festival. Unlike the Dinagyang, Kasadyahan dancers do not paint themselves in black. Their music is varied and its theme varies from one group to another. Usually the festival champions of various towns of Iloilo compete at the Kasadyahan Festival.
