Last night I was invited to attend the lauch of Eastpak’s latest collection of bags, and I must say, I was drooling with envy. I want to take home those cutesy yet functrional bags from Eastpak!

Tourism Department going strong for ecotourism, conservation

Makati Foundation Day Grand Parade this Friday!

Makati City’s main thouroughfare, Ayala Avenue will be closed this coming Friday to give way to the annual celebration of the Makati City’s Foundation Day Parade. The closure of Ayala Avenue will start from 7AM. This year, Makati is celebrating its 339th year as a city.

The highlight of this Friday’s celebration will be the parade of intricately decorated floats together with the participation of Makati City’s 58 sister cities.

Aside from the floats, sister cities and local businesses participating in the parade will be fielding some groups to perform cultural presentations.

The Grand Parade is one of the highlights of the celebration of Makati’s Foundation Day.

Here’s some of the photos I took two weeks ago during the opening ceremonies of the annual Panaad sa Negros 2009. The opening was highlighted by the Best of the Festivals competition, where the Bailes de Luces Festival of La Castellana emerged as the Grand Champion.
