Last May 29, I went to the Clamshell in Intramuros to catch the glitzy opening ceremonies of the Wow Philippines – Pasudayag sang Northern Mindanao. Pasundayag is an Ilonggo term meaning a presentation.

The opening program was attended by the local officials coming from the eight cities (Cagayan de Oro, Tangub, Oroquieta, Ozamiz, Iligan, Malaybalay, Valencia, and Gingoog) and five provinces (Camiguin, Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental and Lanao Del Norte) of the region.

The Wow Philippine Pasundayag Northern Mindanao aim to let the people get a glimpse of what Nothern Mindanao has to offer. From its pristine beaches, world-class dive sites, fresh produce, and a whole lot more.

The event has also let the people experience the diverse culture in Region X through the cultural presentations of the various ethnic tribes, like the Matigsalugs, The Higaonon, The Subanon, The Talaandig, The Bukidnons and the Maranao other tribes.
The Wow Philippines also features a trade dair where one can actually buy good made from Northern Mindanao! Among the items on sale are intricate beaaded accesories, wallets, coin purses, malongs, sarongs, tubaw, and food items like peanuts from Iligan, Pastel from Camiguin, and Hams from cagayan de oro City.
After the event, I went home with all smiles after buying two packs of Slers Ham from Cagayan de oro
