I knew this is going to happen. My bets for the Hudyaka Zanorte all won the contest! Dipolog City’s P’gsalabuk Festival emerged as the best in streetdancing competition. P’gsalabuk is a festival of unity among the Muslims, Filipinos and the Subanon. Their performance during the streetdance contest reminded me of the Sinanduloy Cultural Dance Troupe’s performance in Sinulog. Very graceful and precise.

Sibutad’s Kinhason Festival
I am currently here in Dipolog City, the capital of Zamboanga del Norte of fondly called Zanorte by the locals. Yesterday early morning the skies of Zanorte were all covered with clouds until it started to rain. But just before the Streetdance Competition of the Hudyaka Zanorte Festival started, the heavy rains stopped only to continue late in the afternoon.

I am currently here in Dapitan Zamboanga del Norte to experience the Province’s iest festival event the Hudyaka Zanorte.
It is an annual agri-trade-tourism event where all the towns of Zanorte gather for a weeklong celebration. The event will run until tomorrow where the hihiht of the fiesta a street dance competition will e held.
Please stay stune for more updates!
In the Philippines, the month of May is normally dedicated to the Virgin Mary by holding the annual Flores de Mayo and Santacruzan. And Enchanted Kingdom also had its own version of the Santacruzan held last week.
