List of Philippine Holidays 2010

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has recently signed the Presidential Proclamation 1841 listing down all the legal and special holidays for 2010.

Year 2010’s legal holidays as listed in the Presidential Proclamation 1841 are as follows:

January 1 – New Year’s Day
April 1 – Maundy Thursday
April 2 – Good Friday
April 9 -Araw ng Kagitingan
May 1 – Labor Day
May 10- National elections
June 14 – Independence Day (June 14, Monday nearest June 12),
August 30 – National Heroes Day (August 30, last Monday of August), November 29 – Bonifacio Day (November 29, Monday nearest November 30)
December 25 – Christmas Day
December 27 – Rizal Day (December 27, Monday nearest December 30).

The Special Holidays are as follows:

February 22 – EDSA Day (Holiday for Schools)
August 23 – Ninoy Aquino Day (August 23, Monday nearest Aug August 23),
November 1 – All Saints Day
December 24 – Christmas Eve
December 31- Last day of the year.

The dates for the Eid’l Fitr and Eidl Adha 2010 has yet to be determined.

    too many holidays! can we check the investors’ side…no banks, no collections, with salary exp though no income(unless u r willing to pay add’l 100% salary)…parang JUAN TAMAD! how can we invite investor to create employment? we’ll scare investors! check phil economy rank in terms of business hope we see d other side. tnx

    why is the December 30 changed to 27?
    it’s better not to change that because 31 is also a holiday. why bother change it.

    imagine they will proclaim Fridays as holiday… sana maisip din nila na i-holiday din yung Saturday once they declare the Friday, kasi pano yung may mga pasok ng Saturday, balewala din. Might as well wag na lang nila move yung holidays para fair sa lahat.

    this is a big favor for us where we can spend our quality time with the family. we also know the side of the employers, we always work hard for them and follow company rules,employees pay taxes promptly,holidays is the only consolation we can get from the government, if you are a filipino you will feel the same…

    @Ens: Are you an idiot? Holidays are a result of important events and not the cause. Scare investors? Dahil lang dun? The main reason would be high labor cost and taxes. Tanga ka, so shut up.
