Cebu Food Discoveries
Posted by on August 21, 2009
Tourists flocking to Cebu always look forward to an amazing lineup of foods to be served at the dining table. A gastronomic adventure always awaits every visitor that will probably make them ask for more! Here are some of the food stops that BYAHILO had experienced during my recent trip to the Queen City of the South:
CNT Lechon
Need to say more why it’s on top of the list? Undeniably CNT Lechon is my favorite food joint in Cebu. Proof of this is that the first meal I had in Cebu was in CNT Lechon Restaurant near SM Cebu. Cebu Bloggers Society members know how I love the spit-roasted pig that no less than Anthony Bourdain swears that this is the best way to cook pig!

Larsian Barbecue
One of the locals’ favorite food places. Good food at great price. A must-experience for every Cebu visitors! Larsian Barbecue near Fuente Osmeña continues to draw food lovers to sample their pork barbecue, chorizo, Chicken wings, isaw and more.
Abuhan Pochero
A steaming soup of beef pochero with a cup of rice will never go wrong when in Cebu. And the best place to get Cebu Pochero is in Abuhan. Cebu’s version of this beef knuckle soups is closely related to the Batangas Bulalo. Abuhan Pochero will always be one of my personal favorites in Cebu. My usual stop is at the Abuhan Dos where the branch is open 24×7! perfect for any day anytime pochero cravings!
Golden Cowrie Restaurant
It was my first time in Golden Cowrie and I was so amazed at their foods! Fresh seafoods, delectable Pinoy dishes, and my ultimate favorite? Baked Scallops! I swear I will go back to Cebu next month to get another round of scallops! Golden Cowrie Restaurant in Cebu serves Filipino Dishes. Located at Salinas Drive, Lahug Cebu City.

Yes, Cebu is known for its lechon, for its other foods, for Sinulog and all the other things. My friend recommended one site that has it all about where to eat in Cebu – its a blogging society called Yummy Cebu.
