When we were in Cebu recently, I was suprpised to see some lanzones being peddled at the sidewalk of Colon Street. Lanzones normally peak during the month of October. But as early as first week of August, freshly harvested lanzones coming from Mambajao, Camiguin have already made their way to the Queen City of the South!
The fruit is guaranteed fresh because droplets of latex still oozes out of its skin after opening. And the taste? Walang bahid ng asim!
A sure sign that the Lanzones that the Lanzones is from the Provionce of Camiguin. A place where the sweetest lanzones comes from. And to proclaim to the world that they are indeed the land of Lanzones, every October the province is celebrating the annual Lanzones Festival which coincides with the harvest season.
And when I buy lanzones, I normally pick the very small ones because its much sweeter and most of the time, has no seeds.

Nice article!
