The City of San Carlos in Negros Occidental is now in full preparation as the annual Pintaflores Festival 2009 goes high gear this coming November. Pintaflores is an annual fiesta celebration in San Carlos City in Northern Negros Occidental in honor of the City’s Patron Saint, San Carlos Borromeo.

Just this afternoon, Malacañang Palace has announced that September 7, 2009 is a NON Working Holiday in the Philippines in observance of the National Day of Mourning for the late Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) leader Bro. Eraño ‘Ka Erdie’ Manalo. All flags will also be flown at half mast on Monday.
Manalo will be interred on Monday September 7, 2009, Monday, 12:00 noon at the Tabernacle located near the Central Temple.
Earlier, Malacañang has also declared September 21 as a Non working Holiday in the observance of Eid’l Fitr.

Malacañang has recently declared September 21, 2009 a National Holiday in the observance of the Eid’l Fitr. Eid’l Fitr is a joyous celebration among the Muslim communities immediately after the month of Ramadan is over.
Because of this declaration, Philippines will once again enjoy another long weekend on September 19-21.
