The Balangay embarks on historic sea journey

Last Tuesday i attended the send-off program for the Balangay team who is on an ambitious mission to travel around the Philippines using only a balangay, an ancient form of sea vessel used by during the pre historic times in the country

Holy Week 2010 Philippines Schedule

Christmas time is fast approaching. We are already in the BER months season. And before you know it, Summer 2010 is Back and so is the Holy Week 2010. For many, the Holy Week is a great season for for retreat and reflection. Many also grab this oppurtunity to go back to the provinces and have a reunion with famillies.

Iloilo Dinagyang 2010 Schedule!

Iloilo is now getting back into the groove as it prepares for the city’s biggest fiesta: The Iloilo Dinagyang Festival 2010! Expect hundreds of locals both men and women, troop to the city streets with their bodies painted in dark brown and dance to the frenetic drum beats as they chant “Viva Señor Sto. Niño!”.
