They were the defending champion. It was their first time to join the Masskara Festival last year and instantly won the Championship trophy. That’s why a lot of other competing groups consider Brgy Mandalagan as the group to beat.

Here are some photos I took during the Schools Category of the Masskara Festival 2009.
Abkasa National High School emerged as the winner in the High School Division, and Handumanan Elementary School was declared as the Elementary School category Champion, both were automatically qualified to join the Open Category on the last day of the Festival
