When one mentions the word Taal, what immediately comes into people’s mind is the Taal Volcano which is one of the popular sights when in Tagaytay City. But there is another Taal that only a few is aware of, and it is even more interesting as it houses several National Cultural Landmarks!

The 8 weeks of photo contest is officially over and the weekly winners have already been announced. Again, my heartfelt thank you to all those who joined the weekly contest. Thank you for sharing with us your travel discoveries. From the pristine waters of the Blue Lagoon in Pagudpud, and the breathtaking lighthouse in Cape Bojeador in Burgos Ilocos Norte.
We got to discover something new for our palates too! There’s Binagol from Leyte (I miss this!), Longganisa from Alaminos and Masikoy from Pangasinan.
Night shot photos were amazing. It shows the different side of a city we normally don’t appreciate. The Manila at night photo is stunning. The University of Santo Tomas is like a grand palace!

Eating plays a major part in every Pinoy’s life. And being an archipelago, it is not a surprise to see how diverse our culinary fares are. We get to see an exciting mix of foods from the North that is not popular or doesn’t even exist in the south.

I just came from Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte to cover the historic ending of the 88-day Friendship Kayak Expedition which started from province of Sarangani, up to the white sandy beach of Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte.
