World Pyro Olympics 2009 Photos Week 1 – Germany vs China
Posted on November 22, 2009
World Pyro Olympics 2009 Week 1 is over. Germany and China has already wowed the crowd with their interesting set of fireworks at sync with music.
There were very few people at the Fort Bonifacio area, compered to the previous World Pyro Olympics events. What even made it worse was the rain.
The rain has delayed the event for one hour. Germany started to fire at 8PM. They were supposed to fire at 7PM. China which was scheduled to fire at 8PM was moved to 8:30PM. At least, the event still ended as scheduled. And because of the rain, smoke from the fireworks were not easily dispersed. This means that the succeeding bursts of fireworks can not be totally seen at is is covered with the pesky smoke. I just hope the the weather condition will improve next week.
I love the the music of Germany. It is more diverse. Has section where it used the Superman soundtrack, some classical music and rock music done by the popular German band Ramstein.
China has a more mellow and softer music. People cheered when the theme from the animated film Mulan entitled “Reflection” was played.
Ohhs and ahhs can be heard everywhere. Everyone is msmerized at the beauty of these fireworks. I just can’t imagine how they get to synchronize the music and the fireworks through the magic of computers.
If you haven’t witnessed last night’s pyro musical display of Germany and China, catch the second week of the World Pyro Olympics 2009! Next week, its going to be Canada and Australia.
Cehck out the video I took featuring the People’s Republic of China:
