Bangui Windmills

I have been to Ilocos Norte several times, but my recent trip to this charming province brought me to the Bangui Windmills for the very first time.
The coastal town of Bangui in Ilocos Norte has been known for the gigantic windmills standing on the beach. These fifteen windmills were installed to harness the wind power and convert it into electricity which is then supplied to the whole Ilocos Norte.
Isn’t it amazing to see a province like Ilocos using a renewable source of energy for its power? The folks at Greenpeace would certainly love this kind of idea.
And when we arrived at the windmill site, I was just so amazed at its size. It is just so big! Now I know why these windmills where installed in Bangui, Ilocos Norte and not in Manila Bay. Hindi talaga ito aandar pag nasa Manila Bay!
And visiting Bangui would never be complete without visiting the nearby Kangkang Windmill Cafe. The food is nothing extraordinary, but its name…hmmmm.
Oh, you want to know how big these windmills really are? check out the photo below, with a car on its side.

gusto ko talagang puntahan yang lugar na yan! kasama yan sa bucket list ko.hehe
were going there to Pagudpud on this coming August…& i love to see that bangui wind mills face to face & feel also the splash water of the sea beside that wind mills
