Aliwan Fiesta 2010 Schedule!

The much-awaited event in Metro manila will soon be back! The Aliwan Fiesta 2010 is set to unfold once again and bring the best, biggest, loudest, and the most colorful festivals from all over the Philippines to Manila!
The Aliwan Fiesta is a yearly event organized by the Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC).
This year’s Aliwan Festival 2010 is scheduled April 22-24, 2010.This Aliwan Fiesta 2010, the festival will be having a new route. The Aliwan Festival Streetdance will commence at the back of the Mall of Asia and the final dance showdown will be held in front of the Aliw Theater in Sotto Drive, just beside the CCP (Cultural Center of the Philippines)
There will be two judging areas: one at the back of Mall of Asia, and the final judging area will be in front of Aliw Theater. Streetdance will start 4PM. Assembly area will be somewhere behind the SMX Convention Center.
Another addition to this year’s Aliwan Fiesta is the mandatory performance of all major prize winners immediately after the Awarding Ceremony.

Thursday 22 April 7:00 P.M. (Sotto Street, CCP Complex, Pasay City)
PASAKALYE – Inter-schoastic dance competition
Friday 23 April 7:00 P.M. (Sotto Street, CCP Complex, Pasay City)
REYNA NG ALIWAN PAGEANT
Saturday 24 April 4:00 P.M. (SM Mall of Asia to Sotto Street, CCP Complex, Pasay City)
STREETDANCE COMPETITION AND FLOAT PARADE
9:00 P.M. (Sotto Street, CCP Complex, Pasay City)

few contingents are joining aliwan dis year due to elections. So i dont think aliwan would have a fierce competition this year just like on the previous years. well anyway still looking froward to see aliwan. Even if fewer contingents are expected to join.
^hmmm… how can the election season lessen participation? Won’t it be more bongga since there are many “supporters/sponsors”?

kong makasali ang buyugan sigurado ako ganon parin ang performance nila the same ng mga previous years pareho sa lumad basakanon ng cebu.

Basta walang malakas namakakalaban palagi dahil sa napakagaling at high standard na performances palagi sa aliwan at nagbibigay kulay sa aliwan ang Dinagyang ng Iloilo. Dahil may iba talaga sa Dinagyang na Uniqueness ,Skills, Innovations at sa napakarami nitong steppings at beats ng Sounds mapa WoW ka talaga.

What happened to Pamulinawen Festival?
lagi itong nananalo sa float parade ah. wala din silang contingency sa street dance at beauty pageant?
. .this is a must seen event in the Philippines. Aliwan Festival is not only to compete but to represent each contigents how beautiful there own festivals at there land marks and especially to promote there tourism industry same as thru there history, culture and legends of there native lands. Dont dare miss it!

This is just only one of the famous events in the Philippines that the tourists must see. They tend to learn the Filipino cultures and they can enjoy the fiesta. Filipinos are very hospitable especially to those who are foreigners who love to visit the Philippines.
im sure this the most boring aliwan fiesta.. kasi halos lahat ng sasali luzon festivals, haiz … tapos ang mindanao festivals the best festivals in the philippines, parang tatlo lang ata ang sasali at lima lang sa visayas.. haizz… sana sasali ulit ang the first aliwan champion ang halad festival of midsayap cotabato and other well known festivals in mindanao… such as kadayawan, lanzones, bonok-bonok… tsk.. hope na from mindanao ang magiging champion this years aliwan fiesta..

Please lang po next time mag i-briefing nyo muna ang technical staff nyo para maganda naman ang kuha ninyo…. hindi puro likod ng tao pinakikita… sayang magaganda pa naman mga performances hindi lang maganda and technical staff.
di maganda ang kuha ng mga technical staff..sayang..pero maganda pa rin ang dinagyang..most applauded kahit sa tv dinig na dinig and palakpakan.

yan ang most neglected side nang MBC. Broadcasters pa naman sila. they should anticipate the flow of the acts of the tribes. I think they should attend a seminar to update themselves. akala nila sea games 1986 ito na nagpapasarap sila sa pag kuha nang ganyan. nowadays, tribes are using movable backdrops and props so kailangan more on front view and kuha kasi you will really miss the highlight in a split sec. haaay… nakita ko nakunan pa ata nila ang mga pag change nang costume at props nang mga dancers. too bad!
ang nanalo last year sa aliwan pag isinali yun sa dinagyang festival sa iloilo kahit isang award walang mkuha yun sa galing ng mga tribe contestants doon.congrats dinagyang!!!

Para sakin WOW na WOW talaga ang Dinagyang ng Iloilo kaya sa hindi pa nakakita ng Dinagyang manood kayo bago rin mag claim na maganda ang ibang festivals, WORLD CLASS at mapaindak ka talaga at totoong may panoorin ka na maganda, hindi boring grabe ang difficulties ng sayaw WOW talaga, ang excellent ng style, choreo, innovations at music. Dinagyang is truly the Best of all festival in the Philippines. Mabuhay kayo taga ILOILO.
i’ve already watched the DINAGYANG FEST and they are really good and also the SINULOG FEST. Its just that they have different style in dancing. Sinulog, when they are dancing they are organized. Dinagyang, they dance in a single count. that’s what i observed.

first time ko nanuod ng aliwan festival noong saturday april 24,2010. Napakaganda. Siguro nga talaga kung hindi mag-e-election mas maraming participants nito. Akala ko nga kasama ang Guling Guling Festival ng Paoay, Ilocos Norte. Sige next year abangan ko ulit itong Aliwan Festival.

Worth naman talaga ang Iloilo contingents palagi kisa sa mga nanalo ng cebu ng mga nakaraan malayo ang agwat kahit sa skills nalang sa akin lang ha napakaganda talaga ng dinagyang.
