The Eastern Hometel: Your home away from home in Iloilo

When I was in Iloilo recently, I stayed at The Eastern Hometel which is located inside the Ledesco Village, Iloilo City Philippines.

I always travel, and picking an accommodation is an important part of the planning stage. But being a backpacker, most of the time I go for accommodations that are reasonably priced, with all the basic necessities that I need: bathroom/toilet, a bed, and a place where I can leave my backpacks.

I don’t need rooms with wall-to-wall carpet, phone lines in room is good, but not necessary, daily breakfast is OK too, but there will always be better option outside of the hotel.

So when I was in Iloilo last week, Audrey and I decided to stay at The Eastern Hometel. What is good with The Eastern Hometel is that is it located right inside the Ledesco Village in Jaro Iloilo City.

Our De Luxe room with Veranda has a price tag of PHP700 a night and good for two persons already. Although the accomodation is located inside a private village, transportation is never a problem. Lots of taxis get in and out of the gated community and are all monitored by the security personnel. For those who want to stay longer, a monthly rate is also available.

For the tipid-mode travelers, tricycles are available outside the Ledesco Village Gate.

What I also like about the Eastern Hometel is that it is located just outside the busy city center of Iloilo. It really like a home, rather than a hotel. At the ground floor of the hometel, is a Korean restaurant and a convenience store. In front of the hotel is Fruits and Ice Cream (FIC) bar.

I really had no problem with the accommodation. The AC works good. The sunrise view at the veranda is a great way to start the morning. The staff is very warm and hospitable. Laundry services is also available, especially for those who are staying long-term. The hometel is just a few minutes away from major establishments and shopping malls like SM City Mandurriao, Smallville, Atrium, and Robinson’s Place Iloilo.

its a bit far from te Ortiz port. you’re going to guimaras?

  4. Yes, Sir Enrico, I am going to Guimaras Island. Actually, my plan is to go to Guimaras upon arriving to Ilo-ilo City tomorrow and stay there overnite. I am searching for a place to stay in Ilo-ilo City when I come back on Saturday afternoon. Somewhere I can stay that is near gimikan area like Smallville.

My apology for raising this question to you.
