Last Thursday February 18 and Sunday, February 21, I was at the Sinamba sa Paraw Regatta Competition in Iloilo City Philippines. Thursday night, a street dancing competition was held from the Iloilo Provincial Capitol all the way to the Freedom Grandstand. while last Sunday, the finale performance was held at the Brgy. Santo Nino Sur in Villa Beach, Arevalo Iloilo City.

Last Sunday morning, during the Paraw Regatta festival, the finals competition for the Sinamba sa Paraw regatta was staged at the Villa Beach in Arevalo Iloilo City. The event was held in front of Tatoy’s Manokan and Seafood restaurant.

Last Thursday night, I was at the SINAMBA sa Paraw Regatta. I was picked as one of the judges for the competition which was held at the Freedom Grandstand. SINAMBA is actually an acronym: Sinaut (Dancing) kag Inamba (Singing). This is my first time to actually witness the festival here in Iloilo City Philippines.
