Yesterday, I went to the coastal town of Pulupandan, Philippines. Some 45 minutes drive south of Bacolod City. The term Salapan is coined from the root word salap or fish net.

Last night, I went back to the Tourism Strip for the Day2 Celebrations of the Bacolaodiat 2010, The Bacolod City Chinese New Year Celebrations. Various parts of the Philippines are celebrating the Chinese New Year. Among the big celebrations are the ones in Binondo Manila, Iloilo and Bacolod.

The three-day Chinese New Year Celebration in Bacolod has just started! Yesterday, members of the various Chinese communities turned up along Araneta Street for the Bacolaodiat Grand Chinese Parade.
