Salagdoong Beach in Siquijor
Posted by on March 8, 2010
The province of Siquijor Philippines is so blessed with white sandy beaches. But when we recently went to the Mystic Island of Siquijor, we decided to stay in Salagdoong Beach.
I can just imagine that the entire province has white sand, In fact, the port in Siquijor town also has white sand.
Salagdoong is a small village in the town of Maria. some 20 kilometers (more or less) from the port of Siquijor. If you arrive in the province via Larena port, the distance is much shorter.
There are a lot of beaches along the Salagdoong area, but I guess the best value for money accomodation and probably the most popular here is Hotel Agripino (will do a separate post on accomodation).
I just love the turquoise water in Salagdoong. The waves are not too strong. The water is very clear. You will just definitely love the Salagdoong beach.
The place is so peaceful. I always end up sleeping on the beach the whole afternoon with my music player, while Marc is on a TV Series marathon with his iTouch.
Siquijor has been on my must-visit list for the longest time already. I am actually supposed to go to this island paradise this coming August 2010. due to some technical glitches my P1 promo fare airline ticket got declined by the bank. Weird, thing though is that other tickets got approved.
Because of so much frustration, I decided to got myself ast November a regular priced plane ticket bound for Dumaguete and finally experience Siquijor!
My stay in Salagdoong is going to be memorable. I just love the beach. I love the serenity of the place. and besides, Siquijor holds the distinction as the 40th province that I have ever been to. This coming May, one more new province will be explored and on July two or three will be added on the list.
How about you? What’s your favorite beach destination? How many provinces have you already visited?

**Postscript: I am currently in El Nido Palawan enjoying the beauty of nature here. Watch out for my El Nido Series!**

we went to dumaguete/siquijor/apo island last march, and i’m enjoying your duma-siquijor series. nice to reminisce!
