Review: Ogie Beach Pension, El Nido Palawan

Posted by on April 16, 2010

Even before I flew to El Nido Palawan Phiippines, I have already made some research about accommodations in El Nido. As usual, I look for basic place where I can leave my things safely, get a comfortable sleep, and with shower, of course.

Several names propped up but in the end, I decided to stay at Ogie Beach Pension.

I got a standard fan room good for 2 guests at PHP800 a night with daily breakfast included. Bed is comfortable. There is small are where you can hang your clothes. There’s also a small table you can use if you need to write something or read a book. toilet/shower is also ensuite.

The ground floor of Ogie Beach Pension is a restaurant also owned by them. Complimentary breakfast for guests are served at the ground floor. Food is so-so. I have tried to order food twice and on both occasions, I am not happy with the food.

On the second floor of Ogie Beach Pension, is the front desk and the common area. The view of the islands surrounding the Bacuit Bay from the common room is really breathtaking.

Probably one of the best things I love about Ogie Beach Pension is the free WiFi signal. Internet is quite fast, which has allowed me to answer urgent client mails even if I am on the tropical paradise of El Nido. I was also able to upload photos quickly because of the fast Internet access.

Ogie Beach Pension is quite popular among the foreigners because of its price and perks. 50% cash deposit is required for reservations. For inquiries and reservations, check out the pension house’s website

Thanks for this post. We’ll really consider the Ogie Beach Pension when we go to Palawan! The pics really helps because it’s a decent accommodation naman and thinking na you’re there to enjoy the outdoors in the first place.
