Here’s the list of the winners of Aliwan Fiesta 2010 float and streetdance competition held yesterday from Mall of Asia leading to the Aliw Theater in CCP Complex.

i’ve been to both places and i was able to mingle to some of the residents of the province
allow me to say this but cebuanos are very polite and accommodating despite its Progress in terms of technology..
this is not something against the other. but its reality..
as far as i know. CEBU did not join the ALIWAN this year because of the “HALL of FAMER” position that they have.
please research properly before posting.
There is no need for Iloilo to thank Cebu, because on the other hand, Iloilo also helped Cebu built a cathedral in Cebu. In short, cooperation between Cebu and Iloilo has existed since time immemorial.
Now, we are having festivals in adoration to one patron, Snr. Sto Nino, and its just sad that we let the very ugly side of competition to prevail over our being good neighbors.

Cebuanos are not bitter that you won the contest. We do not bash Dinagyang. I watched Dinagyang a plenty of times and I adore the lively movements.
If you read carefully my message, you will know what I mean.
kulafu you are a good guy.. you must maintain that humble attitude.. keep it up..
i hope iloilo and cebu will be at peace.. ALIWAN is not created to start a fight between participants or supporters..
cebu and iloilo are both nice provinces to visit..

It was Lumad Basakanon who was inducted to the Hall of Fame and was not allowes to join for two years. The contingent was elevated to the Hall of Fame and not the festival (Sinulog). in fact, Sinulog was represented by Siloy sa Alcoy last year.
You do the research and not me. Sinulog has no representative this year because all the winners in all the categories were not from cebu that’s why they are not legible to represent Sinulog.

ilang taon na ang ALiwan at taun-taon na lang tiitira ng CEbu ang Iloilo. we are only fighting back. I know that both of you are well-mannered and i am not referring to the both of you. if you will carefully read every comment posted eversince Aliwan started, it was those from Cebu who bashed Ilonggos first.
kahit ngyon 2010: Marami pa ring Cebuano ang nagsasabi na kaya lang nanalo ang Dinagyang dahil walang choice, dahil wala ang Sinulog! now tell me whose bashing who.

Anyway, I just want to have some harmony between Cebu and Iloilo. For God’s sake, we came from one ancestor(the Pintados) and belong to Visayas.
i agree.. because when i decided to post here.. my intention to greet the winners.. and that is all.. ewan ko ba bakit nag kaganito na.. but its ok..
i just hope that cebu and iloilo will be brother and sisters to each other..

Perhaps, I just read Ilonggos bashing us. But in the case of Cebuano bashing Dinagyang, I am asking some apologies for it. I can not stop them, but please know, that not all of us are the same.

i rest my case. hindi ko nilalahat ang Cebu pro marami kasi talaga ang nambaboy sa Iloilo nung unang nanalo ang Sinulog ng 2006 na nagtuloy-tuloy nung 2008.
Ilonggos were very welcoming sa results then until a few Cebuanos started bashing. Ilonggos, as a reflex, only defended Iloilo. You see, as Ilonggos we are already sensitive to the fact that Cebu has taken everything that was Iloilo (the fame, the progess, the Queen City title, etc.) thats why when someone said (after Aliwan 2006) before that “Iloilo will always be nothing when Cebu is present” sparked/ignited the fight.
But just last year, we found out that there are only a few people (Cebuanos) doing such bashing and they only change account names and chat titles. we found out that many of the names in byahilo and youtube had the same IP addresses.
Nevertheless, even with that finding.. Ilonggos remained vigilant in bashful attacks and would always fight back.
I don’t want fights, i only defend what is right because I was there when Aliwan first started. I have no vendetta against Cebu or Cebuanos… only to a small minority who would hit us every year.
i hope we can be friends… its nice dba??? we willl watch Aliwan together cheering for all of the participants.. hehehhe

Its refreshing to hear your side. I feel a bit guilty of starting this commotion in Byahilo’s blog. But nevertheless, I learned something.
We really are not sure who started the bashing, but we do know that there was already some sort of “animosity” between us.
But we are already in modern times, when the minds are open and the definition of community is no longer limited to a region.
Anyway, I hope the good Ilonggos like you and the good Cebuanos will continue to maintain good relationship between our “tribes”.

Ako yung taga Sykes na bumati sayo sa Aliwan last saturday, ewan kung naalala mo pa ko, I only met you during a cross-training I had with HM from WLID and that was years ago hehe..
Anyways, ang init pala ng salitaan dito sa site mo hehe..

hindi naman dhil ilonggo ka o cebuano eh panalo na talaga kau. in all competitions. there’s always a winner and a loser. participants din ako dati ng aliwan kaya alam ku khit duling man ang manunuod eh kung sobrang ganda talaga ng performance ng festival na yun eh talagang mssbi nyang deserving talaga ang grupong yun.

after nun, nag announce na ng float. yun naabutan ko yun boung buo. kaya kung mapansin mo sa taas, may listahan ako.
at pagkatapos ng float streetdance naman.. kaya meron din ako listahan.
