Cebu Jesuit House
Posted by on May 14, 2010
During our Cebu trip last March, the Cebu Jesuit House was included as part of our itinerary. I must admit, this is the first time I heard of this house. This is probably one of Cebu’s best kept heritage secrets! The house is hidden from the high walls of lumber yard and hardware shop warehouse. The house was built in 1730 as a house of the Jesuit Superior.
The property was bought by a Boholano landowner Don Jose Alvarez. It was then leased by then Governor Governor Sergio
Right now, prior permission from the Sy family is required in order to get inside the house. The family is also the owner of To Hong hardware located beside the Jesuit House. The Cebu Jesuit House is located in the Pari-an District of Cebu City

TY!!!
Cebu does offer a lot of heritage sites throughout the islands. And this sites looks fantastic. Hopefully, they get to preserve this as much as possible but still allow people to see it.
wow, the house was built in 1730.
i wish someday makita ko rin ang jesuit house ng cebu.
