Abuyog Wins Bituon han Leyte Festival Queen Competition

The town of Abuyog, known for the Buyogan Festival won the title Bituon han Leyte Festival Queen Competition for the Pintados Kasadyaan 2010 held at the RTR Plaza last night.
The lady from Abuyog bested seven other candidates vying for the title as the Festival of of Pintados Kasadyaan. The seven other contestants in last nights program were from the town of Tolosa, Santa Fe, Alang-alang, Mahaplag, Baybay, Dulag, and Tanauan.

The eight ladies all gave their best to make their towns proud, but in the end, only one walked away with the crown and the title Bituon han Leyte (Star of Leyte) Festival Queen for the Pintados Kasadyaan 2010.
The first Runner up was the candidate from the town of Tanauan, Leyte representing the Pasaka Festival. Second Runner up is from the town of Santa Fe. Third runner up is the representative of Karatong Festival from Dulag Leyte. Fourth runner up is the Lingganay Festival of Alang-alang Leyte.
Also awarded with the SMART Texter’s Choice award is the lady candidate from the town of Santa Fe.
The Festival Queen Competition is a good preview of what we are going to see today during the Pintados Kasadyaan Streetdance Parade and Ritual Presentation at the Sports Stadium. Though there were only eight ladies competed last night, there will be a total of twelve festivals who will be competing in today’s streetdance contest, and vying for the title as Leyte’s Best Festival.
Streetdance will start at 9AM, and the Ritual Presentation will start at 1Pm inside the sports complex.
