Posted by on August 7, 2010

Although this is not yet final. It’s CONFIRMED! The Malacanong has already declared Sept 10 as a legal holiday. But this year’s celebration of the Eid’l Fitr or the end of the month of Ramadan falls on September 10. This Muslim Calendar is based on the lunar cycle, thus the date changes every year when using the Gregorian Calendar.

A few year’s back, former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo has signed into Law the observance of the Eid’l Fitr as a holiday throughout the Philippines.

You can check the List of Philippine holidays for 2010 here. Let’s just wait for the official announcement from the Office of the President soon.
