Pasigarbo sa Sugbo 2010 Photos

Pasigarbo sa Sugbo 2010 was held yesterday, August 14, as part of the 441st Anniversary of the province of Cebu. 32 festivals representing the various towns and cities from the province of Cebu + 1 guest performer from Cebu City trooped to the city streets of Mandaue for an afternoon of street dancing.

The finale presentation was held at the Cebu International Convention Center also in Mandaue which was witnessed by thousands of locals as well as some tourists. Newly-elected Senator Bong bong Marcos was also in town to witness the event.

This year is the 3rd edition of the Pasigarbo sa Sugbo. But even though the festival is new, I have already seen a lot of improvements. The festival contingents are ore colorful this year. The performances are more lively.

When we left the CICC at 9:30PM for dinner, the whole program is just halfway through. And sine we’re staying at Be Resorts, in Lapu Lapu City, (a bit far from the event) we decided to go back to the resort after we had our dinner.

Too bad we weren’t able to finish the whole presentation. Could somebody please tell me who the winners are?

The Pasigarbo sa Sugbo 201 is a good preview of what we’re going to see during the Sinulog Festival 2011 since many of these contingents will also be joining the grandest festival this January.

Shout outs to my usual travel buddies Don and Fitz. And also to Ed who joined us during the streetdance parade.

Ed, magkikita pa tayo sa Visayas Blogging Summit! Don and Fitz, Masskara is coming!!!
