BYAHILO Rainy Day Giveaway!
Posted by on August 18, 2010
Tag-ulan na naman! Some people take this as a cue to take a break from travelling and just stay inside the house, with a cup of coffee and toast, while some take this as a challenge to travel all the more.
Now that the rainy season has officially started, BYAHILO is once again giving away prizes for avid readers! The mechanics is simple, just answer the two questions below. You must answer BOTH questions to qualify for this contest.
Question 1: Where do you think it’s best to tour (within the Philippines) during rainy season, and why?
Question 2: Name a food that’s best eaten during the rainy days.
Post your answer through the comment section below. Please, include your valid email address, since that’s the only way for me to contact the winners.
And since we posted two questions, we will also be having TWO WINNERS! The two winners will be determined by online draw via random.org
this contest is open to Metro Manila readers only. Readers from other parts of the country are also eligible to join, provided, they have a Metro Manila address. One e-mail address per entry only. Duplicate entries will be deleted.

1. This rainy season, i think the best place to be is in BAGUIO! =D nothing beats a rainy, cold, gloomy & foggy “twilighty” feel of the city. whether it may be stolling around with you favorite jacket, just having coffee with friends, cuddling with your love, a movie marathon near a fireplace.. or daydreaming that you’re in Forks,Washington with either Jacob or Edward.. =P BAGUIO is the place to be!
2. best food to eat during this season.. CHAMPORADO & TUYO!!! the best! =D
Question 1: Where do you think it’s best to tour (within the Philippines) during rainy season, and why?
Question 2: Name a food that’s best eaten during the rainy days.
Over looking Antipolo. just a few minutes away (well, almost…) from my place in qc.. just a short and fun drive..
i’ll bring along a box of pizza on my way up while listening to cascades. then i’ll bring out my trusty thermos loaded with hot choco with some marshmallows.
hernan – hlbhalohalospecial.
Question 1: BORA!!! No sun = no sunburn. Worried about the rain? It’s mostly cloudy there with occassional rains but it stops quickly or you’ll get stuck there and have extra vacation time pa!Yey! And the beach has long shorelines where you can just enjoy the water while watching others skimboard or do sailing. Plus super few people pa and cheap fares and hotel rates.
Question 2: I am craving for the Magyar goulash with sauerkraut. Sosyal ang dating but it’s really a very hearty, herby and delicious soup to eat in the rainy days.
1) If you’re in the city, visiting the Intramuros and the museums would do. This will save you the hassle of strong rain. But, I would suggest a trip to Mt. Pulag if you’re the adventurous kind.
2) Noodles. Be it instant or homemade. Nothing beats noodles during rainy days
Question 1: Where do you think it’s best to tour (within the Philippines) during rainy season, and why?
Answer: Rainy season is the best time to go to places in Visayas or Mindanao area especially Boracay since the rates are its lowest. You can experience occasional small rains in Bora during rainy season.
Question 2: Name a food that’s best eaten during the rainy days.
Answer: To name a few, I love to eat hot macaroni soup, arroz caldo/goto or hot pandesal with hot chocolate (tablea).
Question 1: Where do you think it’s best to tour (within the Philippines) during rainy season, and why?
I’d vote for Tagaytay as well. I love how it feels with the rain and the cool weather, it’s so romantic and the drive is so wonderful. It just feels different. And you don’t have to worry about cancelled flights during the rainy season, plus who wouldn’t want to be stranded in Tagaytay.
Question 2: Name a food that’s best eaten during the rainy days.
Piping hot Leslie’s bulalo! Tamang tama kung asa Tagaytay ka.
Question 1: Where do you think it’s best to tour (within the Philippines) during rainy season, and why?
It’s best to tour Tagaytay! (dami na nagsagot, hehe) I haven’t been there for awhile but I’ve been there a lot of times and it’s nice to visit especially during the rainy season when it’s colder. (and you’re with someone you could cuddle with, hahaha). Definitely looking forward to visiting it this coming ber month.
Question 2: Name a food that’s best eaten during the rainy days.
My choice of food for the rainy season: I’d crave for suman swimming in chocolate(the tablea type) or a bowl of hot and yummy mushroom soup with bits of toasted bread! nom nom nom!
It’s best to go to Baguio during the rainy season because you can really enjoy cool weather, plus the rates aren’t that high. Sem break also falls on the rainy months so mas may time when I was in college and now that most of my friends are professors.
Best thing to eat when it’s raining? Steaming bowl of champorado with lots of milk.
