    The best place to be on a rainy day would probably be in Caleruega, Batangas. This place is so serene you can take all your time meditating and soul-searching. Rainy days, I deem, are the best days to ponder on our lives and on our relationship with our loved ones. :)

    The best food to eat on a rainy day will have to a Beef Nilaga complete with corn, banana and veggies!!! YUM!!!

    Dumaguete, since it’s rainy season already this would be the best time to live a laidback life and just enjoy the cool breeze. You can visit museums and historical sites within the city.

    At times like this, a hot bowl of champorado or goto would best suite my appetite and warm my body. :)

    It has always been Baguio City, you can experience the lowest temperature in the Philippines in Baguio City when it rains and wrap urself and while having that freshly brewed Sagada coffee.

    METRO MANIL !! Since there are many mall you can shop and dine till you drop and still stay dry. It might take you half a day to just finish 1 mall.

    For me it’s Davao. Even it’s rainy season, there’s no much rain in Davao. You can still go to beaches and have a good view of Mt Apo. You can stroll over the city’s markets and museums.

    For me it’s Tuyo! Love to eat tuyo while the rain is pouring outside. Samahan mo pa ng sinangag at suka na may sili. Love it!

    Panglao Island, Bohol. It’s exciting on summer but on rainy days, the island is a magical, mysterious paradise. Also, running along the white pristine beach under the rain is an experience like no other.. it’s like you’ve entered an entrancing, celestial dream. And because visitors are sparse, it feels like you have the whole island to yourself!

    Thick, rich native hot chocolate (tablea) with Suman or Budbud!

    Its lazy to go out of town on a rainy season since its hard to visit landmarks with umbrella on hand plus walking in mud is a bit disgusting. Instead, take a different route and enjoy the city of manila. First is visit the manila ocean park, then science centrum in MOA, dine in dampa, then have an overnight stay in Sofitel. Worry free since all these places are covered! haha

    Tapsilog (with signature chili sauce) from Sinangag Express and goto from goodah! if not yet contented, also order their chilled taho in Sinangag Express for dessert! cheap yet very satisfying!!!

    Walang iba!!! Calamba and Los Banos Laguna, famous for the hot springs that flow from the slopes of Mount Makiling. Sarap maligo sa mainit na tubig lalo na pag tag ulan.

    I think the best place to tour during the rainy season is Tagaytay because they have Rose and Grace’s Bulalo and because there are a lot of great food places there, like Bag of Beans and the likes.

    I love Tagaytay very much! especially during rainy season. I really love the smell of the rain breeze especially when its cold!

    for me its any food as long as it goes with hot steamy rice. well pork sinigang is still my favorite during gloomy days!

    Baguio! I was there last July 24, 2010 with some officemates and it rained while we were strolling around. We’ve walked our way to the Pink Sisters Convent, Good Shepherd, Mines View and Burnham Parks, wet market – all over the city – all in one day! With our jackets on and umbrellas up, we had a very cold and foggy tour! A bowl of hot Arroz caldo for each of us was definitely a hit!

    It’s hot champorado paired with fried “tuyo” (dried fish). The combination of sweet and salty food just makes rainy days worth looking forward and wonderful!

    It’s the best time to go to Zambales and surf since the waves are best during the rainy season. It’s only 2hours away from Manila and go around Subic on the way back.

    The best place for me to tour during the rainy season is Tagaytay. It is not too far from Manila and it is also where you can just hang out and get the most of the cool weather while you are already at it.

    If I’m feeling of staying indoors I’d choose TAGAYTAY. its near Manila and the breeze if perfect to cuddle with a love one (heart) Checking in bed and breakfast with a perfect view of Taal Lake, while reading a good book and sipping hot choco is the perfect moment during rainy days.

    If I’m feeling outdoor naman, I’d choose La Union or Aurora, though I haven’t tried surfing my bestfriend always tell me it exciting to hugs the waves, and surfing will be more exciting because of bigger waves during rainy season!

    SOPAS!!!! I can’t tell you enough how I would always bug my mom to cook sopas for me even when it’s not rainy season! Yummm!

    San Pablo Laguna is a wonderful place to visit. You can enjoy a steaming bowl of mami in little kubo-style restaurants set atop the Sampaloc Lake.

    During the rainy season it’s best to go white water rafting in Cagayan de oro especially for the adventurous ones.

    ‘Rainy Days and Sundays’… always reminds me of family… Travelling during the rainy season is difficult but fun if planned right. For a short jaunt, ‘suggest Tagaytay. The food, weather and people are great! Stay at Tagaytay Highlands for max enjoyment indoors or outdoors.

    When in Tagaytay, of course Bulalo comes to mind… Later, hot choco and mallows or popcorn are good to have when watching DVDs or simply lazing around with the kids and hubby.

    I think the best place to tour during the rainy season is within Metro Manila, preferrably Eastwood libis, Tomas Morato, Makati Area (CBD), Ortigas Area, as well as some parts of Alabang and Paranaque. And wear your most trendy rainy weather clothes, jackets, coats and YES even boots. Fashion which we can’t often wear during summer season. Do a city tour in Fashion!

    For the first question, it’s Batanes. Why? Very picturesque. You are surrounded with the beauty of the green fields and the blue sea. And even with the rain, it’s still very calming and comforting.

    For the second one, it must be Champorado. For me, it’s synonymous to Chicken soup, a famous comfort food. Though champorado for me is very Filipino especially with “tuyo” that goes with it.

    Tagaytay! There are lots of restaurants and food choices for the foodie in me. I can sip coffee and hang at Bag O beans. Or I can go to Mahogany Market for some Batangas bulalo. There are also organic food available in the area. There’s Antonio’s too but it gonna burn my pockets. Hahaha.

    Sonya’s Garden, Tagaytay because the place is so romantic and serene. The place is perfect for romantic getaway even if it’s raining. I love the smell of the gardenias, as well as the herbs. And during night time fireflies abound. :)

    LAGUNA, preferably in Luisiana (my province) it is a nice place, its like a little Baguio.

    LUGAW, because it is easy to cook and very appropriate during rainy days. One one thing, in Laguna you can visit any Lugawan that is “swak sa budget” and “nakapasarap”

    For me, it’s best to go to Baguio because it’s not that cold there at this time of the year and you’ll be able to enjoy lots of sights. The country ambiance is relaxing yet you won’t feel you left the city.

    Arroz caldo is one dish best served during the rainy season because it’s hot, thick concoction is ideal to make you feel warm. Makes you feel like a kid again.

    Crazy but it think it would be fun to visit “cool” destinations like Baguio and Tagaytay during the rainy season.

    I love how the cold air and rain make you feel like you’ve went to another country where the climate is colder, yet you still feel secured that you are in the Philippines.

    Admit it, most people like how their warm breath fogs up when it mixes with the cold air. :)

    Visiting Baguio would be best if its raining, its much cooler yet eliminates the pollution that it accumulated due to the congestion.

    To enjoy the cool temperature of the rainy season, Tagaytay is a very accessible out of town place for the whole family. You may opt to stay overnight on several hotels by the place. In addition, experience the scenic views boasted in the area.

    While in Tagaytay, a place to be would be Leslie’s. The Special Bulalo will help you enjoy the cool weather. :D

    Question 1: I like to take a short road trip to Tagaytay during the rainy days because the climate is cooler

    Question 2: I like to feast on Bulalo and Aroz Caldo during at this time of the year. These are dishes my mom prepares for us when we were younger and classes were suspended. It reminds me of those days and aside from warming the body, they warm my heart too :)

    I think it’s best to tour Metro Manila during the rainy season. You could spend summer touring the various islands around the Philippines, but you could spend the rainy days discovering what Manila could offer. If you’re looking for an out of town trip, I’d go for Laguna, not much people there at this time of the year, plus they have lots of hot spring resorts.. you could just enjoy the hot waters with this cold season.

    I love eating tsamporado and dilis on a rainy day. I could just imagine eating it while cuddled on my favorite chair, watching tv all day while rain pours outside.
