An overnight getaway at Lemlunay Resort

Last weekend I was in Lemlunay Resort in Maasim Sarangani for an overnight stay. It was my second trip to General Santos city for another weekend of weekend getaway and discoveries. It just so happened that my trip coincided with the boxing match of Manny Pacquiao and the weekend vacation of Davao bloggers Ria, Brendel and Lyle.

The word Lemlunay is a T’boli and B’laan term for Paradise. And Lemlunay Resort is indeed a paradise. A paradise for the nature lovers and those who love the underwater world.

Lemlunay Resort is home to the South Point Divers. A dive shop for all those who would love to explore the coral formations and fishes in the area.

I’m not a licensed PADI diver so when we recently went to Lemlunay, I just contented myself to snorkeling. good thing I brought my rashguard and snorkel gear with me.

The place is very quiet, which I like. I always love places that where I can commune with nature. When I snorkelled on the seond day, I have seen a lot of fishes going here and there. I just love the colors. I just didn’t go much farther since the current during that time is a bit strong. there’s also a makeshift platform where we can dive to our heart’s content. Before we left, I was able to dive 4 times. Not bad. :)

For those who do not want to snorkel, Lemlunay Resort also has an infinity pool where one can take a dip. There’s an area for the kids and for the adults, the deepest spot is at 7 feet.

While they call it an infinity pool, I actually do not think that it is an infinity pool, since the end of its pool has a white tile that protrudes upward. this means that the water of the pool is not seamlessly “connected” to the waters of Sarangani Bay,

The food at the resort is good. For breakfast, I ordered Hungarian Sausage. The sausage is actually large enoughfor me to order two cuops of rice. Their bangus breakfast is served with half slice of the fish, and their corned beef breakfast looks yummy!

Many thanks to Avel and Orman for bringing us to Lemlunay Resort!
