Lal-lo Church
Posted by on December 3, 2010
When I was in Tuguegarao last October, one of the churches that I planned to visit is the Lal-lo Church. The town of Lal-lo was formerly known as Nueva Segovia. It was named Nueva Segovia by juan Carrion in 1572. and is the seat of the Catholic archdiocese. today the Archdiocese has already been moved to the Heritage City of Vigan.
Lal-lo used to be the capital of the Province of Cagayan up until 1839 when it was then moved to Tuguegarao City.
What I like about the Lal-lo church is its brigh reddish color of the bricks that were used in construction. these bricks were baked in the nearby Tuguegarao City. Unfortunately It was already lunch time when I arrived at the church, so I never got the chance to check out its interior. I just hope that I could visit this church again soon during our Family Holidays Vacation.
