The Best of BYAHILO 2010, part 2

Here’s the conclusion of the Best BYAHILO Moments for 2010. These events have made a significant impact on my life as a full tim travel blogger. Some may be funny, while some amusing. This post covers travels from July to December 2010.

1. The Sarangani MISadventure – Traveling from GenSan to Gumasa Sarangani on a Habal Habal sounds fun. But we redefined the word FUN during my recent trip with Sinjin!

2. The Casa Verde Back Ribs – mouth Watering Back ribs for a Fastfood Price? It was a quick 4-hour trip to Cebu but I can still remember the subtle flavor of the ribs. Yumeeh! Since then, I keep coming back tio Casa Verde everytime I am in Cebu City.

3. The Northern Mindanao Adventure – In one sentence I can describe this trip as: Marc lost his DSLR in Marawi! Kaloka ang experience! Check out our Northern Mindanao Experience Day 2 and Day 3.

4. I swam with the dolphins! – I was so excited to swim with the dolphins last September at the Misamis Occidental Aquamarine Park in Sinacaban Misamis Occidental.

5. 3D/2N at Thunderbird Resorts: The Santorini of the Philippines! – It’s not a surprise to hear guests blurting out “ohhhhhh” and “ahhhhh”. The Thunderbird Resorts in Poro Point La Union is a Paradise tucked in the Ilocos Region.

6. Masskara Festival 2010 – BYAHILO supported Brgy 17 during the streetdance competition. The group emerged as first runner up and winner of the Best in Choreography Award. I was so happy happy with their performance! Expect ur group to do better in 2011! :)

7. The tale of two Pancit – Finally! I got to taste the two versions of Pancit that is very popular in the provinces of Cagayan and Isabela: The Pancit Batil Patung and Pancit Cabagan.

8. Tumauini Church – Ang tagaaaaaaaal tagal ko nang pangarap makita ang simbahang ito. It’s a dream come true last October. Really breathtaking..

9. 4D/3N of Knockout Adventure in GenSan – It was my forst time to go to Lemlumay Resort in Maasim Sarangani, Watch Pacquiao’s Match with the Generals and it was also on this trip when I finally found someone :)

10. Visayas Blogging Summit – I swear, Hindi pwedeng wala ito sa list! It took us months of sleepless planning to organize an ambitious event which aims to gather around 200 bloggers from all over the Visayan Region!

There you go friends, my top 10 travel experiences for the second half of 2010. As we close the year, I pray for safety and good health as I continue to explore the beauty of the Philippines and show it to all of you through this blog. you can check the First part of this series here

May the new year brings us more oppurtunities to travel, more places to explore, more foods to savor, more festivals to experience and most of all, more friends to meet along the way.
