Talamban, Abellana big Winners of Sinulog sa Kabataan sa Dakbayan 2010

Talamban Elementary School and Abellana National high School emerged as champions in yesterday’s Sinulog sa Kabataan sa Dakbayan 2011, elementary and secondary categories.
Mabolo Elem School
Talamban bested nine other elementary schools from all over Cebu City during the contest. Abellana National High School, on the other hand, was able to successfully defend its crown as defending champion, besting seven other high schools. Both group bagged the Best in Musicality and Best in costume special awards.

Not even heavy rains could stop the Cebuanos from holding the Sinulog sa Kabataan. Despite the downpour, thousands still flocked to the Abellana sports Complex to watch the event. Fortunately, the rain stopped just before the first prformer started to dance at the stadium.

Juging from the performances earlier, I could say that this year’s Sinulog sa Kabataan sa Dakbayan has greatly improved, comparing it from last year’s edition. Better performances, topnotch presentations, Huge turnout of the crowd, more photographers covering the event. This is just a sign that the Sinulog sa Kabataan sa Dakbayan is a success!

The top five winners in every category will be joining the Sinulog 2011 Grand Streetdance Parade on Sunday January 16.
