Placer Masbate, Sinanduloy wins Sinulog Festival 2011

Placer Masbate’s Himag Ulaw Festival was able to successfully defend its crown as back to back champion of the Free Interpretation Category of the Cebu Sinulog Festival 2011.

Tangub City’s Sinanduloy Cultural Dance Troupe also won the Sinulog Based category of the Sinulog Festival. The results were just released a few hours ago after the whole day streetdancing around Cebu City.
this year’s Grand Mardi Gras Parade is participated by a total of 49 contingents, 11 of which is from outside of Cebu. Later at 1PM, the winners will be doing a repeat performance at the Abellana Sports Complex during the Awading Ceremonies

well, i think HIMAG ULAW don’t deserve to win! BUYOGAN deserves the title!

HIMAG-ULAW and BUYOGAN are both first place title contender.
For me, BUYOGAN deserves the title it is holding now.
BUYOGAN is great at its costume and performance no question about that, that’s why they were grand champion in 2009 Sinulog. But in this 2011 Sinulog, their costume and dance performance are everything the same as of what you can see them in 2009 Sinulog. So, what what I mean is that nothing’s new with them in this recent Sinulog. That’s the very reason I think the judges chose HIMAG-ULAW the grand champion 2011 Sinulog.
