Overnight ni Cebu

Posted by on March 8, 2011

Last Friday I took an early morning flight from Manila to Cebu. This is my third time in the queen city of the south this year, but I am still giddy that Im back in Cebu. There were several items on my to-do list for this trip. among them, buy raw materials for a project, do a review of restaurant and test/review 2 bags.

Upon arrival, I then proceeded to Mango Park hotel to check in and get a nap. After taking a quick break, I then proceeded to Don Merto’s Restaurant at SM North Wing.

My friend and I ordered Fresh Corned Beef, Ono Fried Chicken, and the house best seller Back Ribs. Food was really Fantastic! (Please wait for my separate review of the resto)

After lunch, we then headed to my suki bead shop to buy wood beads and my bracelet. Ang dami kong biniling beads! It all weighed 24 kilograms. Beads lahat yun!

From the bead shop, we went back to the hotel to leave the large box. After that we then went to a store somewhere in Carbon to buy several packs of dye for the wood beads. It was my suking tindera from the bead shop who recommended the brand of dye and where to get them. She’s so sweet!

From the bead shop, we hurriedly took a cab going to the south-bound Terminal. From there we took a Ceres bus going to Minglanilla to buy Capiz shells. I love she Capiz shells showroom! Everything on display is a work of art! From chandeliers, to wind chimes, to placemats, glass coasters, candle holders, Christmas lanterns, and even sofa!

For my day 2, I took a short walk from the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral down to the Basilica Minore del Santo Nino and the Magellan’s Cross. Everytime I am in Cebu, I always visit the Basilica to say a little prayer to the Child Jesus, take photo and of course, nagpapa sinulog din ako…

From the Basilica, my friend and I then went to Don Merto’s Restaurant in Juana Osmena Avenue. A good resto serving really good food deserves a second visit!

Our day ended with a flight bound for Bacolod. It was just an overnite trip, but I am totally satisfied with all the things I did. I was able to fit in all the thing I have to do and go in a snap!

    Hi

We have an early morning flight to CEBU. We’re currently looking for a place to stay before heading off to Mactan beach resort. Earliest time we could check in is 1pm so we are looking for a place where we could have our breakfast or probably take a nap.

    Thanks
