malacanang declares June 20 as special Non Working Holiday

Malacanang Palace has just announced that June 20, 2011 is a special NON WORKING Holiday throught the Philippines in commemoration of the 150th birthday of the Philippine National Hero, Dr. Jose Rizal.

Through the Proclamation 154, the holiday was declared “give all Filipinos the opportunity to commemorate Rizal’s patriotic deeds and sacrifices for the country, rekindle their admiration and respect for him, and to celebrate this milestone with appropriate ceremonies,

Presidential Proclamation 154 was signed April 26th through executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa Jr.

    Gani man… holiday dri gani sa Aus kung bday ni Queen Elizabeth (the week before Rizal’s)… dapat sa pinas mn eh. :-)
