Bagyong Chedeng is in. Summer is out!

the Philippine weather bureau PAGASA has recently announced that they might be declaring the end of the summer season by Friday. Just in time when Bagyong Chedeng makes a landfall in Norhtern Luzon. This means the rainy season or tag-ulan is just around the corner. Hay ang hirap tanggapin. Summer is over!. Masyadong bitin, di ba?

Many Filipinos look forward to the coming of the summer season. For students this long break from the school. The Holy Week was a welcome break for the many working class as it gives them ample time to visit friends and families in the provinces, while some took it as an oppurtunity to hit the beach.
How about you where did you spend your summer and what are the activities you did during this season?

I think I had one of the craziest summer schedule ever. My summer season started March, where i stayed for a month in Negros Occidental. I stayed in Victorias City for a fortnight, and another fortnight in the town of Manapla. I was in Negros for the Kadalag-an Festival and for the annual celebration of the Panaad sa Negros.

I went back to Manila in April just in time for the Aliwan Fiesta. then Holy Week came. I was a welcome relief (kahit papano!) when Don Fitz, Cathy, Angel and I went to a beach somewhere in Batangas. We went late in the afternoon, so nagpa hangin hangin lang.
The month of May came and I was scheduled to return to Bacolod for a meeting. I was also supposed to go to the island province of Guimaras for an overnight stay with friends. But I got tied to so many things.
finally I was able to fly to Bacolod for an onvernight meeting, but the plan of going to Guimaras got shelved. I have been planning to go to Guimaras for quite some time now, nauudlot pa rin.
Then luckily here comes an invite from AirPhil Express to fly to Davao for an Extreme Adventure. I agreed to join. but I asked them if they can extend my ticket for several days more.
Ayun, I got to experience the adrenaline pumping white water rafting in Davao River! Ang saya! After that I also got to visit General Santos again (kahit overnight lang). I missed Gensan so much! It’s one of the cities I really love the most
From Gensan I went back to Davao for another adventure. This time in Talikud Island which is part of the Island Garden City of Samal. We stayd for a night at Leticia by the Sea and I totally enjoyed my stay there.
So ayun. that’s how my summer season goes. It’s very tiring, fun, but very bitin. I really wanted to spend more time in beaches. Oh well, I guess I can still go to island hopping do snorkel on a rainy season, right? basta wala lang bagyo
Kayo kmusta summer ninyo?
