Review: Outdoor Products Navigator Deluxe Laptop Day Pack
Posted by on July 22, 2011
Last summer I was offered to review the Navigator DeLuxe Laptop Day Pack from Outdoor Products. My schedule last summer was really dizzying that I didn’t even have the time to pick up the bag from the distributor’s office. Then finally, they just decided to drop the bag in my office addres, but I was already on a travel break when it arrived so it took me some time to actually try the bag. It was only until I flew to Puerto Princesa last July 24 when I finally got to test it.
There are actually two available colors of the Navigator DeLuxe bag, one is blue and the other, black. I picked the black bag. One of the things that easily caught my attention is its size. It is big! At first I was just expecting a laptop bag with a very typical size that can fit a large 17″ lappie, but I was wrong.
It can indeed fit a large laptop, and even more! Aside from being a laptop bag, it is also a day pack bag, which you can use for your day tours or small city trips. The compartment is big enough to carry several pieces of shirts, or books or what-have-you.
There’s a separate compartment for the laptop, and there’s another large compartment for the rest of your stuff.
I love it when I used it in my travel to Puerto Princesa lately. The straps were arched a bit to minimize stress on the back. There are a lot of smaller compartments too, which is perfect for small items like USB Flash drive, MP3 player, SD Cards, batteries, etc.
There’s also a water bottle pocket on its sides which I really like especially when doing city tour, or when walking on a hot day.
There’s one thing that I just don’t like though, but I’m pretty sure that this can become an advantage if you’ll get used to your bag: There’s just so many small compartments. I always have a difficulty in finding small stuffs in the bag, as I tend to forget which compartment I actually stored them. But if you’ll get yourself familiarized with the bag design, these small pockets are a big help to you.
If you would ask me, Will I be using this bag again? I’d say YES! I Love it. It’s big, can fit a lot of items in its compartment. I would definitely bring this bag in my next Cheap Holidays to Bacolod, Cebu and Davao soon!
The Outdoor Products Navigator DeLuxe Laptop Day Pack bag is priced at PHP2,990. (Not bad, right?) It is available at The Travel Club stores nationwide.
