Exciting Eastern Visayas tour packages to be offered at the Philippine Travel Mart!

The Philippine Travel Mart which is held every September is one of the very few travel fairs I go to every year. Last year, I was able to buy P88 (ALL IN!) plane tickets from Air Phil Express. The promo fares were sold only at the PTM and is not available online or through travel agents.

The Philippine Travel Mart is just unstoppable. The event is getting better, with more exciting tour packages to be offered and will be held at a bigger venue! This year the Philippine Travel Mart will be held on September 2-4 at the SMX Convention Center in Mall of Asia.

Kalanggaman Island, Palompon Leyte

Just like the ITB Berlin in Germany where they offer Car Hire Germany services, One of the highlights of this year’s PTM are the tour packages from emerging destinations especially from the Eastern Visayas Region, which is expected to attract local as well as foreign travelers.

Just last week, PHILTOA (Philippine Travel Tour Operators) did a familiarization tour together with several members of the media. For six days, we were able to explore the hidden gems of the provinces of Northern Samar, Samar, Eastern Samar,  Leyte and Southern Leyte.

Baybay City

The tour includes visit to the Kalanggaman Island in Palompon Leyte which features one of Philippines most beautiful beaches. We also got to walk along the Heritage Lane of Baybay City in Leyte where well-preserved colonial era ancestral houses are located. We also got to snorkel in Padre Burgos in Southern Leyte which is said to be one of best dive spots in Southeast Asia.

The majestic Biri Rock Formation in Northern Samar was also visited as well as the ABCD Beach in Calicoan Island in Guiuan Eastern Samar.

The Fam Tour is just one of the many activities that PHILTOA is implementing as part of their preparations for the upcoming 22nd Philippine Travel Mart, which promises to be better and more exciting than the previous travel expos.
