Manokan Country for lunch?
Posted by on September 30, 2011
I am already here in Bacolod and lunch in Manokan Country is in order. I am already here in Bacolod City to observe the preparations of the upcoming Masskara Festival
Manokan Country has always been my favorite. When I was younger, our friends from the church choir would sometimes go to Manokan for dinner.
Manukan is known fr serving the finest Inasal in town. For the uninitiated, the two most popular chicken cuts of inasal are the pecho (breast) and paa (thigh). Although there are other chicken parts available like atay (liver), tina-e (intestines), isol (chicken butt), pakpak (wings), li-og (neck).
Aside from chicken grilled to perfection, most stalls in manokan country also serves freshly boiled oysters (talaba).
so when I was at manokan country last week, I had an order of isol, pecho, and an order of great tasting talaba!
And do you know whats good about this great dining place in Bacolod? An stick of Pecho would only cost you P65 pesos and an order of talaba is P35. Cheap, right?
Great tasting Ilonggo food are bargain prices. That’s why I always love to eat while in Bacolod!
When in Manokan there are 2 popular stalls there. Aida’s and Nena’s So when you are in Bacolod City this upcoming Masskara Festival 2011, never fail to miss the Manokan Country! It’s the home of the best tasting Chicken Inasal!

I have not been to Bacolod, but since you said that Manokan Country is your favorite I will try it out when I get to Bacolod with high expectations.
Grilled Chicken and Talaba! Wah dalhin mo ako dyan!
