4D/3N Cebu Adventure with the PTB Bagets!

Traveling to Cebu this month of December was never a part of my plans. It was only when Mica convinced me to join the Year End Trip of the PTB Bagets in Cebu. PTB is an acronym for Pinoy Travel Bloggers.

After so much convincing, I finally said yes and booked my plane ticket. Originally the Bagets, will be in Cebu on December 12-15 as they will invade Malapascua and Bantayan Island. Then I found out that some PTB Bagets will be arriving in Cebu a few days earlier.

So I decided to fly on December 10th at 5PM via AirPhil Express. The A320 plane was pushed back from the air bridge on time, but due to the air traffic, we got delayed for 30 minutes.

Mica ad Robbie arrived at 10PM from Manila via AirPhil Express too. Later that evening, I met Andrew in SM. He arrived in Cebu just minutes ahead of my flight. The three of us stayed at Sugbutel Bed and Bath. Mica Robbie and I stayed there only for a night, as we moved to another hotel on the next day.

We then went to the IT park for late night Dinner. I had Fish fillet in tartar sauce for dinner at My Joy. After which I had my cup of coffe at coffee cat. Ewan ano pinag o order nilang lahat? ahaha

From there, we met Cebu Bloggers, Sinjin, Attorney Ethie, and Bryan. It was already past 2AM when we went back to the hotel and our call time is 5AM. bongga di ba!

We all woke up at 5AM. w then headed to a Fastfood near Elizabeth Mall. While waiting for the other PTB Bagets, we just had our breakfast there.

Later Dylan, Doi and Edwin arrived. From EMall, we walked towards the Van terminal which is just located a few meters away from the mall.

The van leaves every hour and it was already 9AM when we arrived. The next available van that could fit all seven of us would leave at around 10AM. So in order for us to leave immediately, we just agreed to rent one van that would bring us to the town of Moalboal. It is 2.5 to 3 hours south of Cebu City. Moalboal is known as a diver’s paradise. And personally, I am very excited for this trip because for the very first time, I will be able to witness the so-called Sardine Run! More details about this soon!

We all have a great time in Moalboal. I have been to Cebu countless of times but this is my first time to be in this part of the province.

We went back to Cebu City at around 830PM. Hungry and tired, we all decided to have dinner at Larsian. The place is known for its rows and rows of barbecue stalls.

Larsian

Yummeh! lami gyud kaayo! Kebs na kng mag amoy usok!

From Larsian, Mica Robbie and I were supposed to get our Bags at Sugbutel and check in at The Hotel Elizabeth, but we all ended up having desserts at La Marea.

My usual dessert in La Marea is their Classic Warm Brownie cup. It has been ages since I last visited this place. Last Sunday, I was pleasantly surprised that their bestseller now comes in various flavors.

La Marea Warm Brownie Cup

I ordered the Yema flavored warm brownie cup and I instantly fell in love with it. Move over classic chocolate cup. The Yema Variety is now my love! I just can’t describe how its taste, but it’s heaven!

After the yummy desserts in La Marea, Mica Robbie, Andrew and I went back to Sugbutel. Andrew stayed there for another night, while Robbie Mica and I checked in at The Hotel Elizabeth.

Ang bongga ng Hotel! I love the chandelier! It’s the first thing that I noticed upon entering the premises. sumisigaw talaga ang crystals!

It was past 11PM when we checked in. Tired from all the snorkeling, traveling and eating, I quickly fell asleep on the couch. Yeah, we were at the hotel but I ended up sleeping on the couch. Ahehe

The next day, Robbie left early as he will be traveling to Malapascua with the other PTB Bagets who are scheduled to arrive in Cebu on that day.

Mica and I were on our usual tamad-tamaran mode. I was supposed to go to the secret bead shop where I buy my costume accessories and supplies and go back to Basilica Minore del Santo Nino, but none of the plans materialized. Mica and I were just insde our room with TV turn on, enjoying the day with nothing to do, but Facebook.

Around 1PM Mica, together with Nica The Hotel Elizabeth’s Marketing Consultant went to the IT Park for lunch. this time we went to Casa Verde. Brian’s Ribs is what I had for lunch. Kelangan pa bang i-memorize yan?! LOL Sarap sarap as usual!

From Casa Verde, we just moved to the next door, and had our dessert at La Marea. for sure, alam nyo na inorder ko! I had another Yema Warm brownie cup again. Yummy as always.

Later Edcel arrived to interview me for his Podcast sessions. kaloka ang interview. I just wish those quirky side comments will edited! ahaha

After which Nica went back to the hotel to prepare for the hotel’s Thaksgiving Party while Mica Ed and I hailed a cab and went straight to the Cebu Yacht Club to do a sunset chillout cruise courtesy of Islands Banca Cruises. It was a perfect way to unwind and get away from all the noise of the city. More about this soon!

It was already past 7PM when the cruise ended, from there we went back to The Hotel Elizabeth to attend their Anniversary Thanksgiving dinner. I’m so glad to see the faces of Cebu bloggers Society members. I didnt stay long at the party as I have to go to Radisson Blu and meet Miss Mina as she briefed me of the upcoming acitvities and various Christmas offerings of the hotel.

Radisson Blu is coming up with exciting activities that would surely warm your heart this holiday season! Christmas is indeed coming!

From Radisson Blu, I rushed back to The Hotel Elizabeth hoping to catch the CBS members again. Unfortunately the program has already ended so I just went straight to out room. Edwin and Ed were still there. kakatapos lang pala ng program the three of them really had a good time during the party. May sayawan na nangyari!

The next day, Mica left early as she will be traveling to Bantayan Island together with the other Bagets who will be traveling from Malapascua going to Bantayan. By 9:30 in the morning I checked out of the hotel and headed straight to the Mactan Cebu International Airport to return to Manila.

It was a full packed 4 days of adventure in Cebu with the Bagets. It was my first time to meet some of them but I definitely ejoyed my trip. It was indeed very bitin! I wanted to go back to Moalboal! I just hope I can still insert it in my itinerary for January 2012 in time for the Sinulog festival 2012

I cant wait to be back in Cebu this January. I dunno what kind of adventure awaits me.
