If I am not mistaken, Majica Masskara has been in the Masskara Festival schedule of activities for many years now.But most of the time the event is held inside a gallery. And because it is inside an rt gallery, only few people would get inside.

CineManila 2009 International Filmfest launched!

cinemanila 2009 The Cinemanila International Film Festival 2009 ushers in its 11th year at its new home at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig. Presented by the City of Taguig and the Cinemanila International Film Festival Foundation, this year’s edition once again boasts of an impressive line-up of 100 international and local films – from the current toasts of the local indie scene to the award-winners and favourites at prestigious festivals such as Cannes, Berlin, Rotterdam, Sundance, and Pusan. Running from October 15-25, the festival will also feature workshops, seminars and master classes.

The life and Art of Carlos Botong Francisco

Last Thursday, I was able to join a media tour to the house where National Artist Carlos “Botong” Francisco once lived.

Carlos “Botong” Francisco was one of the greatest Filipino visual artists and muralists, best known for his vibrant, sprawling murals specially commissioned by the Malacañang Palace, Manila City Hall, Philippine General Hospital and Fort Santiago.
