It was originally built in in 1976 upon the orders of then Philippine First Lady Imelda Romualdez Marcos for the scheduled State Visit of Libyan President, Muammar Khadafy. Unfortunately, the vist did not pushed through. But the construction of Metro Manila’s biggest mosque continued.
