March6. Day4 of the Air Asia Philippines. Media Tour.
I woke up early to have some toast, sunny side up and hotdogs paired with coffee for breakfast. The coffee is pretty good. Its not the usual instant 3in1 coffee mix. It’s brewed. . Great way to start the day, I must say.
By 730AM we were picked up by the shuttle. And headed to Ipil Suites to pick up other members of the Media.
After bags were loaded in the shuttle. We travelled south back to Puerto Princesa. But before heading straight to our destination. We made a quick stop in the town of Taytay and viisted the Santa Isabel fort. A fortification. Built during the Spanihs era and named after the Spanish queen. Inside the fort is a small museum that houses i teresting facts about the fort. There also. A skeleton ofthe irawaddy dolphin caught of the shores of Taytay.
March5, Day 3 of the Air Asia Philippines Media Tour and I can’t help but feel giddy and excited.
Woke up really early to have breakfast of toast coffee and omelette at Bill’s Tourist Inn. By 7AM we were picked up by our shuttle and dropped us at Ipil beach to do the island hopping tour. Island hopping is undoubtedly the most popular activity here in El Nido Palawan. To join any island hopping activity you need to pay the mandatory PHP200 environmental fee. The ticket entitles you up to 10day island hopping tour. Tour fees are to be paid separately.
March 4. Day 2 of the Air Asia Philippines Media Tour.
I woke up very early after sensing that Blue Palawan resort hotel actually has one of the finest views Of the Palawan sunrise. The break of dawn is an amazing sight, complemented by the sound of the chirping birds.
A little bit later breakfast was served. Prior to checkin i opted to have chorizo recado with no rice for breakfast. But the chorizo really screams for carbs. So i gave in. I ordered. A cup of fried rice.
Day 4 – From the Capones Vista Resort we then drove towards Clark in Pampanga for some wakeboarding fun. Our first stop f the day was at Deca Wake Park in Clark Field Pampanga. After more than two hour of getting slapshed in the water, we headed to Bel Posto Ristorante in Angeles City Pampanga for a quick lunch.
After they hearty meal, wewent straight to one of Pampanga’s newest and hottest leisure park: The Porac Sandbox. Here, we got to try various activities, you would not normally see in any theme park or activity centers, they have giat swing, roller coaster type of zipline, ATV Ride, and their newest attraction: archery range.
Day 3 – From Olongapo, we traveled to the Town of San Narciso in Zabales at the Crystal Beach for Surfing 101 lessons. Since it’s amihan season, the wave in Zambales are not that big, but during Hbagat time, expect a much wilder ride.
Day 2 – We woke up early in the monrning. After our heavy breakfast we then headed towards the town of Gerona in Tarlac to visit the JSJ Goat Farm. This is my first time to visit a goat farm and I am really excited! During the trip we got to experience how to milk a goat. It was indeed a fun experience. JSJ Goat Farms currently has 900 goats and sheeps, and produced 70 liters of milk daily. Aside from fresh milk they also make cheeses like kesong puti, chevre, and feta.
I have been getting invitations to join the Lakbay Norte every year. But it was only this time that I confirmed to the event with so much excitement.
Lakbay Norte is an annual media Familiarization tour organized by the North Philippines Visitors Bureau and North Luzon Expressway (NLEX). Lakbay Norte is one of the much anticipated events. It is now on its fourth edition. This year, 20 members from print and online media were invited to join the tour.
