While I was in Romblon, I got the chance to visit the Looc Marine Sanctuary. It is located in the town of Looc in the island of Tablas.
The Marine Sanctuary is 48 hectares wide. According one of the Looc Baywatch member who accompanied us, the sanctuary has been opened to the public since 1999.
Before heading out into the waters, we proceeded to the office of the Looc Baywatch Task Force for a short briefing and pay the entrance fees. Entrance to the Marine Sanctuary is PHP100. Snorkel rental is at PHP50.
It was one of those unplanned trips. I just got a call from Melo asking me if I wanted to join him to travel to Puerto Galera on the next day. And since I don’t have any schedule for the next day, I readily agreed. So off we went to Encenada Beach Resort in Puerto Galera.
