Get ready folks, it’s Aliwan Fiesta 2012 season! The Festival Champions from all over the Philippines are set to compete in Metro Manila during the annual festival that showcases the best of Filipino talent, craftsmanship and ingenuity.

The year 2011 is about to end. And before we finally bid goodbye to 2011 and say Hello to 2012, lets take do a recap on where we have been to this year. I’m presenting to you a series of photographs I took this year. This just the first of two parts, covering the first half of the year 2011.

Last Thursday, I was in Metro Manila for a meeting. Later Mica and I agreed to meet in Makati. We met at Glorietta, but decided to stroll towards the Ayala Triangle. I have heard a lot of good raves about the food outlets there but since I am out of Manila most of the time, I haven’t found the perfect time to explore this place. It was almost 3Pm when we arrived at Ayala Triangle, which is located just behind the Makati Stock Exchange.

Last April 16, 2011 MBC staged the ninth edition of the Aliwan Fiesta 2011, where 18 festivals from all over the Philippines competed for 1 Million Pesos. Aliwan Fiesta is dubbed as the Festival of Champions, the festival champions from various parts of the country are in the country’s capital to showcase their unique culture and traditions through dances.
Here are some more photos from the recently concluded Aliwan Fiesta 2011. Enjoy!
