Since time immemorial Davao has been actively promoting its destinations with the tagline “From Highlands to Islands”. I think it was way back 2005/6 when I first learned of this tagline during the Wow Philippines days in Intramuros.
And just a few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to have been invited by Marco Polo Davao to explore Davao, from Highlands to Islands, the Marco Polo Way.

Madayaw!
Every month of August, Davao City holds the annual celebration of the Kadayawan sa Dabaw Festival 2013.

The name Kadayawan came from the traditional Dabawenyo greeting “Madayaw” The festival is a celebration of life, and thanksgiving for the bountiful harvest.
Kadayawan sa Davao Festival 2012 is officially over. the winners have already been declared. The guests have already left the Davao, and the city is now back to its normal life.
Here are some more photos I took during the Kadayawan Festival in Davao city last weekend. enjoy!

One of the highlights of the annual Kadayawan sa Davao is the Pamulak Kadayawan or the Grand Floral Float Parade whish is held every 3rd Sunday of August. The Pamukak Kadayawan is the last highlight of the Kadayawan Festival.
