DAVAO CITY, July 11 (PNA) — All systems go for this year’s “Indak-Indak sa Kadalanan” (street dancing), one of the highlights of the 23rd “Kadayawan sa Dabaw Festival”, the mother of all festivals here, said City Councilor Edgar R. Ibuyan, chairman of the “Indak-Indak” committee since 2003.

Bacolod Masskara to perform in Andong South Korea Mask Dance Festival

Another Philippine Festival is performing in another country! The Bacolod Masskara Festival is scheduled to leave the country this September for the Andong Mask Dance Festival 2008 in Andong, South Korea.

Bacolod Masskara Festival 2008 Schedule

The Bacolod City Masskara Festival 2008 Schedule is out! And because this years Bacolod Charter Day falls on a Sunday, everything has changed. This year we will get to see street dancing competitions on a weekday. This is because October 19 is Bacolod’s day and as such the day is only reserved for civil military parade, no street dancing even if it falls on a weekend. Check out the schedule below. More detailed activites will be added as soon as the full schedule is released by the Bacolod Masskara Organizing Team. The official music of Masskara 2008 is yet to be released.

Masskara 2008 soon to hit the streets of Bacolod City

In just a little less than three months time, the streets of Bacolod City will once again be decked with all the buntings and banners. Loud music and colourful costumes are de rigeur. And everyone is expected to be in a party mode.
The Philippines’ most colorful festival will be taking centerstage as hundreds of dancers in colourful and heavily decorated costumes and smiling masks dance to the loud music during the annual Maskara Festival 2008.

Sumptuous Chinese Culinary Delights at the Binondo Chinatown Estero

The Bloggers’s Binondo Chinatown Food Tour promises to be a one big muchfest. We started big on our appetizers at Dong Bei Dumplings in Nueva Street Binondo.
From Dong Bei, we then walked to probably one of Manila Chinatown’s most famous eatery: Estero.
Estero literally translates to canal in Filipino.

Koronadal South Cotabato Tinalak Festival 2008 Schedule

BYAHILO in another round of Binondo Chinatown Food Tour

It was not my first time to set foot in Binondo. But my first time to do a food tour with several travel bloggers and food bloggers from Manila, Philippines.
Binondo is a place close to my heart. The mere mention of the name Binondo, I can already conjure images of freshly steamed dumplings, noodles and somewhatnot in my imagination.
